BIRD IN THE HAND is the creative space of Melbourne illustrator and designer, Caroline Stirling.

Inspired by the small things, the clever quips, eavesdropping an awesome line or sentence and Bob Dylan, Caroline works with various materials, balancing a textural illustration style with a clean design aesthetic. A committed and motivated creative, with an approach that combines fine art training with commercial requirements, Caroline is focused on achieving effective outcomes with a proven ability to deliver a creative solution that meets a clients needs.

Holding the belief that you don't have to show all the details to tell the story, Caroline continues to judge a book by its cover, because, well, it's part of the job. While indulging in more than the recommended number of cups of tea per day, Caroline is always wondering if her next little nonsense idea would have made Edward Lear proud.

As BIRD IN THE HAND threatens to eventually engulf her living quarters, Caroline dreams of the day when she has enough space to have friends over to eat at a dinner table. Actually, she's quite excited at the prospect of shopping for the dinner table, and the chairs. Ahh, the chairs, that's the best part.
